London Expo. Sunday 19th October. Excel Centre.

The trek across London was a long story so I wont even go there I'll just begin with the queue. We joined a substantial queue in the Excel convention centre shortly before the doors would open at 10am. The doors did open dead on ten and we walked in following the rest of the crowd towards the bottom of the hall and before we knew it we were in the Lord Of The Rings queue, which was'nt a bad thing. Glancing across I could see Buffy guests Julie Benz and Emma Caulfield and that was when it hit me, just how big this kind of thing was. I had seen both of them on telly and now they were only yards away from me it was very surreal. They guys had yet to come out and we waited a good half an hour before they did. But just seeing them walk out the overal excitement rose as the queue started to move. We were part of the first group and I could'nt be more interested in how everyone else was taking it. Autographs cost a mere £15 for Billy and Craig and £10 for Jorn. I stood right next to the guest signing table where for some reason perhaps it was just nervous banter I got into conversation with one of the stewards. I promised I would give everyone an award winning smile as I moved towards Billy. I walked past Jorn where the woman accompnying him was in deep conversation with the Spike lookalike from the SFX magazine. He seemed rather detracted from the conversation and he caught my eye and I smiled.

Moving over towards Craig who recieving plenty of attention with due cause this guy was gorgeous besides the fact he was a great actor. Found myself laughing at all his jokes and falling in love with his dreamy voice as I gave him a glancing smile. The next proved to be not quite an easy task as I stood in front of the woman accompnying Billy. I had to choose a photo such a simple task, I choose the close up and then moved over to Billy. It was then and only then when I lost all ability to speak and to appear a normal human being. He greetd me, still cheery, my turn to talk came cue amazingly embarrasing squeaky voice and even more embarrasing if its possible nervous lip twitch. If I remember only only one bit from this day it was Billys ability to make me feel at ease, he had obviously seen it many a time before. "Youre alright aren't ya" he siad and I was well minus the nervous twitch. There always has to be a kodak moment and this was no different he got out from behind the table and gave me a hug then posed with me for a photo. He had personilised my signed photo and won my heart. I would admire this guy for a long time to come. One sweet smile and a goodbye later and it was all over leaving me rather worse for wear but with memories I could tell people in years to come.
