Corin Nemec ("Jonas Quinn")
The character of Jonas Quinn was introduced at the end of season 5. Jonas is a scientist in a nequadria research plant on the alien planet of Kelowna, a planet which was saved by Daniel. Jonas left his world after they denied Daniels actions and became a traiter to his own planet. Jonas took Daniels place as cultural expert in SG1 but was met with quite a bit of resistance.
Corin Nemec found fame when he was younger in the TV show parker Lewis where he played the lead and in films such as Drop Zone. He was excited to take up the tole but couldnt help but be nervous about joining a cast and crew which had been together for so many years. But he fitted in well and that reflect in his acting on screen.
The character of Daniel Jackson was first introduced in the stargate film along with Jack. A dedicated linguist and scientist he has become the teams cultural expert whilst on a personal mission to find his wife who was taken by the guo'ald. He eventually does find her only to loose her again and to be sent on a new mission. The end of season 5 sees the sacrifice of Daniel and his asscension to a higher plane of existence.
Micheal Shanks is an intensely private man off set but what is clear is the bond he has formed with fellow cast members. This is part of the reason why stargate has managed to last so long. Shanks manages to pull off every acting style out of the bag when needed and is very popular with the shows fans.
Teal'c was first prime to the system lord Apophis until he met SG1. Teal'c performed many tasks that he was not proud of but that only fueled his hopes for Jaffa freedom. Helping SG1 to escpae Apophis' clutches Teal'c became a member of SG1. He is a strong warrior and a true friend to all of SG1.
Christopher Judge has to be regarded as so far away from his character it is unbelievable. Judge is a keen golfer and a natural comedienne often passing the smile that would never been seen on Teal'cs face. Although he still maintains it is the rest of the crew that keeps him laughing especially Micheal Shanks who he is firm friend with.
