Bodly go where no man has gone before..

Jonas stared at the telly screen a slight smirk on his face as always his hand reached out for the glass that sat on the desk and without even looking he had located it and took a big sip. Not moving his gaze again his other hand reached into the open draw and he pulled out a half eaten chocolate bar.

'Jonas' a fimiliar voice called it was the voice of Sam

'Yeah' he replied his glance still not switching from the the telly screen

'How often have you been watching that?' Sam asked her face surprised at the simple things she took for granted that Jonas seemed to love. There was no real reply to Sams question only a chocolate bar which was in Jonas' hand raised in her face.

'Wait a minuite, I love this bit' he said the chocolate waving once more. 'Live long and prosper' he said immitating the voice off the telly. His smile widened and he chuckled to himself turning to Sam her smile widening too as though it seemed to be contageous.

'Glad to see your enjoying yourself' Sam remarked. He nodded taking a quick bite of the chocolate bar.

'Whats a Trekkie?' Jonas sprayed chocolate peices onto Sam he took another bite waiting for the reply. Sam raised her eyebrow as her smile raised too.

'Well a Trekkie is somebody who kinda.......well lives Star Trek" she explained . Jonas nodded his head trying to undersatnd but not really getting it at all.

'So whats the Vulcans gate address I'd like to meet them some time they seem like great people.Perhaps i should ask General Hammond', his gaze switched again to another thing that had previously been unexplored. He got up from his chair walking over to the other side of the room.

'Jonas the Vulcans arent real they are part of the TV show' Sam said adjusting her gaze to him. He reached out clicking the button on the wall.

'Amazing' he smiled once more pleased with what he had achieved another thing explored.

'Jonas' Sam said once again attempting to get his attention he turned to her his smile as large as before. 'Don't worry' she laughed to herself.

Say Hello Goodbye

SPOILERS-PROPHECY

"You still think you have to prove yourself don't you" she studied his face, she was his Doctor but there was little he could do to boost his self-esteem. Mumbling his stare was fixed beyond the Doctors face he could see into a whole different time frame. 'You might need to consider that you're usefull enough already' she continued. But what he was seeing was well beyond what she was saying.

He woke with a start, since the prophecies he has been getting very little sleep, any he did get was cursed with images. the operation had been sucessful, the prophecies had gone leaving a silence in his head. He was back being that same old Jonas again the one he could never quite place anywhere. Moving slightly he struggled to become comfortable again adjusting the pillows underneath him. Being bed-ridden had its advantages it gave him some time to think perhaps too much but he had taken advantage of it. His mind wandered every other moment thinking of all the that had been but no longer of what will be. He laid back gently shutting his eyes not planning to sleep but to think.

'Hello Jonas', a voice called seeming to be a long way away.

His eyes snapped open again he had recognised the voice from a long time ago but it was still very clear. Was it another Prophecy? He shook his head it could'nt have been he hadnt had any since the operation. Perhaps he was dreaming he concluded closing his eyes again. But there was something nagging him about the voice so many questions sprung to mind. His head was alive with mayhem again.

'Jonas, I wanted to thank you', the voice rose again.

'Thank me' he questioned without a second thought.

Opening his eyes he could no longer see the walls of infermary he was somewhere new. He spun around trying to find something he recognised, something he was familiar with. A bright light obscured his view slightly until a figure stepped forward sending the light shattering off them.

'Yes I wanted to thank you for carrying on where I left off'.

It was only then when the figure became clear to Jonas, it was Doctor Jackson. His brown hair twisting in the breeze but his smile still as strong as ever just as Jonas had remembered it.

'Doctor Jackson, What are you doing here?'.

Jonas' mind was working overtime working out probabilites and possible outcomes. He was happy to see the lately departed Doctorhe respected him hugely. He had learnt everything he knew by his teachings as far as he was concerned this man was a genius. Apart from that he had saved the life of everybody in his country including him.

'I would have hoped you would have been a little more pleased to see me. But in answer to your question I'm here to see you Jonas'.

'Me?'

Jonas was desperate to please he was his teacher after all and in the time they had spent together he had learnt so much. He had changed for the better he hoped and he wanted to show this to Daniel. The last thing he wanted to do was to appear dumb but he had little else to say.

'I know what you've done, what you've achieved and believe me I don't miss a thing. The all knowing all seeing thing you could class it as I suppose'.

He laughed to himself sensing how on edge Jonas was. He was eager to please it didnt take somebody who had assceneded to a higher plane of existence to know that.

'I kow how you feel, Ive felt it myself many a time before but the truth is although you don't see things as clearly as you've hoped you have made a difference. You will realise that if not now then later. They have high hopes for you'.

It was as if he had read his mind he knew what it was that Doctor Jackson had talked about it was that feeling of insecurity of not quite knowing what purpose he had it had taken his teacher to bring these feelings to a head and he thanked him for that. But what he had said confused him, high hopes?

'I don't know what to say?', Jonas said there was far too much going on to comprehend.

Daniel smiled again he knew exactly how he was feeling he was being confronted with something he had never quite believed possible. But the prophecies had opened Jonas' mind more than he knew and had allowed Daniel to communicate with him in this way. He had heard it said in the early days and he knew it now that Jonas was special. He had a part to play in the future for everyone and Daniel had no doubt that he would furfil his part easily.

'I've got to go now but I know that I leave my friends in safe hands'.

The knowing smile comforted Jonas he began to hope and imagine. There was so much more he had to know but he doubted that Doctor Jackson would be able to answer his questions.

'You're leaving, you can't leave. How? What?'.

'Those are questions you are going to have to answer for yourself'.

The light became much brighter again Daniels figure faded out just as it had faded in and appeared to him. Jonas said nothing but watched as he was gone turning his head again. The greens of the grass he stood on faded to the brown and familiar walls of the infermary. He was back and changed once more.

CHILDS PLAY

"Doctor how can you be so sure that this change is not going to be permanent", General Hammond raised his eyebrow.

"Well I've taken a look at the results of the tests we took and they seem to suggest that they will return to normal", the Doctor replied.

"I hope you've got it right I don't know how much longer I can cope", he sat down on his chair springing up straight away. A deep shade of red covered his face he turned to see several toy blocks on his chair. He smashed the blocks on the briefing room table. The whole room was like a bomb site since DR Fraiser suggested they make it a playroom for SG1's special needs.

"You're doing just fine Sir, I'll bring them up", the DR tired to avoid any further conflict between herself and General Hammond. The general held his head in his hands he had had children before even grandchildren but not five of them who had once been adults.

The Doctor returned carrying Jonas in her arms and holding Sams tiny hand following her was Teal'c still a good size even though he was a child. Major Davis brought up the rear with Daniel and Jack arguing as normal. "Um, Ja...... Sir, Keep up sir its time for some fun", he tried to usher the children along. Jack returned the favor stepping hard on his toes, the Major let out a yelp of pain restraining himself from striking back. Jack ran into the room laughing bowling over Daniel as he went. Immediately a bawling arose from Daniel and the Major scooped him up putting him down on one of the briefing room chairs. "Sir", he acknowledged the General with a quick nod returning to Daniel pushing a bear into his arms.

Janet set Jonas down on the briefing room table and he immediately began to crawl to the bowl of fruit in the middle of the table. The General looked up face to face with Jonas stuffing a banana skin and all into his mouth. He sighed trying to remove the banana from one of the firmest grips for a little guy he had ever seen. Sam sat contently on Janets knee the wispy curls of her golden blonde hair perfectly in place. She wore a little dress lined with lace a perfect princess. Janet looked up from Sam watching Jack as he ran circles around the table. She looked back down upon hearing a rip. Sam had in that very moment ripped the lace from the bottom of her dress. "Don't do that Sam", she said prying it from her hands and placing her on the table as well.
She turned her attention to the others one of them was surprisingly quiet. She knelt down spotting Teal'c under the table sitting crossed legged obviously in a state of meditation. Looking back up she glanced over at the major who was still tending to Daniel. "You're doing fine Paul", she assured him but Daniel cried now louder than before.

The General had finally got the upper hand and had removed the banana from Jonas. The boy now stared at him his big green eyes beginning to ill with tears. General Hammond peeled the banana quickly handing it back. Sam appeared behind Jonas also bearing a banana reaching out to the General. "Lunch", she said thrusting the banana in his face. After doing the Same for Sam he was happy that they were both content he pulled back his chair and got up from the table. Jack still continued to run around the table at full speed. Foreseeing Jacks return to this side of the table any second now he knelt down ready to grab him. Sure enough he had bagged him a little trouble. He began hitting and screaming as he walked over the the window. He looked out at the Gate and it began to light up.

"Unauthorised gate activation", the voice came across the speaker.
"What now!", the General put Jack down on the floor Jack again returning the favor with a quick stamp on the foot. The General rushed down stairs to the dialing room slipping on a banana peel on the bottom step as he went. As he raised his head he found it empty apart from Jonas and Sam sitting at the controls. They had somehow managed to lock down the doors as well.
"stop that now", he shouted advancing towards them, Jonas stepped back falling onto the Iris hand controller. His bottom had come up as an unathorised user and the computers would follow the security protocol that meant full systems shutdown unless overridden. Jonas burst into tears setting Sam off as well as the whole base fell into darkness.
